Gamers can test out multiplayer ahead of Xbox One launch

Hardware maker and game publisher Microsoft announces that the Xbox Live Gold service will be offered for free in a number of countries during the coming weekend, allowing players to test out its various features.

The most important element of the service that will be available is multiplayer for all games that support it.

The countries where Xbox Live Gold can be used for free between October 4 and 6 includes, according to the blog of Larry Hryb, community manager: Australia, Austria, Belgium, Canada, Czech Republic, Denmark, Egypt, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hong Kong, Hungary, India, Ireland, Israel, Italy, Malaysia, the Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Philippines, Portugal, South Africa, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, Slovakia, South Korea, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Taiwan, Thailand, Turkey, the United Arab Emirates, the United Kingdom, the United States, Vietnam.

Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, and Mexico will benefit from the same offer from October 11 to 14.

In Japan Xbox Live Gold is also set to be free from November 7 to November 10.

Microsoft will launch the Xbox One on November 22.
