Microsoft might be getting ready to announce a self-publishing option on the Xbox One for indie developers on Wednesday at the Build Developer Conference.

There's no official information from the company, but notable developers from the indie community have delivered some suggestive messages via Twitter, with the most important ones coming from Minecraft creator Notch, quoted by NeoGAF.

Since the PlayStation 4 was announced, Sony has talked a lot about its support for smaller developers, which is designed to increase the range of experiences available on its next-gen device.

Microsoft has already performed a 180 when it comes to the Digital Rights Management measures for the Xbox One, allowing any user to trade and to lend his/her owned games.

More support to indie developers might directly translate into bigger sales for the Xbox One when it finally appears in November.
