After a number of users have been banned from some Xbox One services, including the Upload Studio and Skype, for use of inappropriate language, Microsoft explains that it is monitoring all content to make sure that the Live environment is clean, safe and fun.

A representative of the company tells CVG that, “On Xbox One, we have a more sophisticated system of enforcement. As a result, if someone misbehaves on the service, we may only suspend some of their privileges on Xbox Live such as access to certain apps or use of certain features.”

From complaints on the Xbox One official forums, it seems that some gamers are not aware of the list of words or the kind of content that the company considers to be inappropriate for use on its platform.

Skype is also under scrutiny from Microsoft, but the company says that it is not actively monitoring peer-to-peer communication.
