Larry Hryb, aka Major Nelson, is offering all those who have failed to pick up an Xbox One at launch a series of tips on how they might find one of the home consoles for sale during the coming holiday shopping season.

In an official Xbox news piece, the communications executive explains that interested buyers should focus on local retailers and on bigger chains so that they can stay up to date on the dates when they might get access to new shipments.

He explains that, “Xbox One has been flying off store shelves and is sold out at most major retailers. The Xbox team is working hard to meet consumer demand and we are delivering consoles to retailers as fast as possible this holiday season.”

He also says that players can use specially designed tracking sites, like XboxOneLocator and NowinStock, to find a device and then move quickly to buy it.

Major Nelson also promises more updates from Microsoft on the Xbox One’s availability issue.
