The option won't be present at launch, but it will be added “someday”

Xbox One users ought to know that Microsoft has been thinking of integrating an option into Xbox One that will allow them to gift digital games to friends.

Major Nelson from Microsoft talked about this possibility on Reddit, saying “Great feature we'd like to add in someday, but it won't be there at launch.” It seems that although digital game gifting won't be there at launch, they are seriously thinking of incorporating it in the future.

Something similar is already up on Steam and gives registered players the possibility to gift each other digital titles. Even Wii has this feature, users being allowed to gift items from the Wii Shop.

Microsoft has already promised some exciting things for Xbox One after its next month launch, previously suggesting that its Family Sharing Plan might be coming back in the future.

Users should know that Xbox One is due on November 22 in UK.
