Microsoft has won back a lot of trust from the video game fan community by announcing that publishers will be the ones who decide how used games are handled on the Xbox One and by revealing a rather generous gifting policy.

But the company does reserve the right to change both initiatives without notification to the Xbox One player community or any consultation.

In an official article on Wire, the team states, “Microsoft may change its policies, terms, products and services to reflect modifications and improvements to our services, feedback from customers and our business partners or changes in our business priorities and business models or for other reasons.”

The company also reserves the right to outright cancel some services.

The Xbox One will be launched worldwide before the end of the year.
