The Xbox One reveal event from yesterday didn't focus on games and alienated quite a few hardcore fans, and Microsoft's Albert Penello is quite aware of the situation.

He promised to gamers that things would be much more impressive at E3 2013.

Many Xbox fans eagerly awaited the reveal of the next-generation Xbox One yesterday and, while Microsoft did show off the device, it focused more on its entertainment capabilities and less on its games or functions.

Microsoft's Albert Penello confirmed to GiantBomb that the company was aware that it might have alienated some gamers, but he believes that Microsoft needed to do an event that focused on "the part of E3 people don't like."

According to him, because Microsoft has already talked about entertainment, it can focus at E3 2013 only on Xbox One games, thereby drawing in lots of fans who may have been put off by the reveal.
