This just came in: the digital and retail versions of Metro Redux will come with separate achievement lists, meaning that fans of the game will be able to stack both versions up in order to gain a whopping total of 4000 Gamerscore points.

The report comes from achievement experts Xboxachievements, suggesting the fact that by buying both the physical and virtual editions of the game, you'll allegedly be able to unlock 4000G, in total.

The reason for this seems to be linked to the digital editions of Metro 2033 Redux and Metro: Last Light Redux being available separately, featuring 1000 Gamerscore points each.

If the report is true, this would mean that Metro Redux is the first Xbox One title to feature separate achievements list for its retail and digital releases.

For the time being, it's unknown whether the PlayStation 4 edition of the remastered games will allow players to double up on Trophies in a similar matter, and the official confirmation from developer 4A Games is still yet to come.

The first-person shooter is the remastered version of the 2010 hit Metro 2033 and its follow-up, 2013's Metro: Last Light, enhanced in terms of visuals and mechanics and offered for next-gen console owners to enjoy.

Metro Redux is currently scheduled to come out on August 29, headed for the PC, PS4 and Xbox One platforms.
