Hideo Kojima, the leader of the team working on Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes, reveals that the upcoming title will have extensive second screen support, allowing gamers to display the map and other elements on a smartphone or other companion device.

The official Twitter account of the developer shows the image attached to this article and another one with something similar running on a SmartGlass enabled Sony tablet.

Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes is designed to serve as a prequel for The Phantom Pain and Kojima says that it will introduce gameplay mechanics that fans of the series will be impressed with.

The game centers on a number of crucial events that change the state of the world and will include both day and night missions.

Launch will take place on the PlayStation 4, the Xbox One and current-gen consoles in the middle of March.
