Hideo Kojima, the leading developer working on Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain, says that the enemies of the game are so unpredictable at the moment that he might not be able to play through the entire demo of the game prepared for the Tokyo Game Show.

The game maker states on Twitter that “Oh my, the demo for the stage event is 100% more difficult. The behavior of the enemy is different every time, I can’t help it because I cannot predict it.”

Good AI for the enemies is a highly sought after gameplay feature, and fans of Metal Gear Solid will be happy to hear that the game will offer a challenge when launched.

The Phantom Pain is expected to arrive on the current and the next-generation consoles.

The game will use an open world experience for the first time in the history of the series.
