EA and Danger Close don't want to upset actual Tier 1 Operators

Electronic Arts has confirmed that its upcoming Medal of Honor: Warfighter first person shooter won’t have a mission where its Tier 1 Operators assassinate terrorist leader Osama Bin Laden, as it wouldn’t be respectful to the actual soldiers who took part in the real life operation.

2010’s Medal of Honor reboot took inspiration from many actual missions that were accomplished by Tier 1 Operators, including Spec Ops or Navy SEALs.

As we learned yesterday, its sequel, Warfighter, will do the same, although last year’s highly successful assassination mission that targeted Osama Bin Laden won’t be included.

According to the game’s Producer, Greg Goodrich, who talked with OXM US, such a story is a personal one to the actual Tier 1 Operators, so making it an interactive experience wouldn’t be the best course of action.

Medal of Honor: Warfighter will still portray plenty of impressive missions that take players all over the world, so perhaps this will make up for the missing assassination.

Expect to hear some more details about the military first person shooter next week.
