Developer Wales Interactive has announced that their haunting take on horror games, Master Reboot, will be coming out for the PlayStation 3 on March 4.

The developers share their view on the game on the PlayStation Blog, stating that they attempted to offer a different experience from the realistic and gritty one that most games in the genre offer, choosing instead to explore a more stylized world that takes inspiration from titles such as Day of the Tentacle and Tron.

The game’s story takes players into the mysterious world of the Soul Cloud, a massive server that holds people’s souls and memories after they pass away, where gamers will embark on a journey that will end with revealing the secrets of creation and understanding what’s going on in the game world.

Master Reboot relies on creepy imagery and psychological horror instead of the traditional monster bashing and combat-intensive experiences, having players explore dead people’s memories from a first person perspective.
