A close quarters Infiltrator and a Krogan sniper are quite interesting

Mass Effect 3’s multiplayer is probably one of the best additions in the videogame series made by BioWare. Not only does it increase the lifespan of the title, but it also provides a new experience for fans old and new.

I’ve already highlighted the ways through which the online mode makes you try out classes other than the ones you’re used to, but thanks to the recent spree of promotions I did for last weekend’s Operation Raptor, I’m now getting to experience different class builds.

First up is my new Infiltrator, designed for close quarters combat. Regularly, Infiltrators, whether they’re Human, Salarian or Quarian, mostly use sniper rifles and prefer big maps like Dagger or Giant.

With this new type of build, my Salarian Infiltrator now wields a Geth Pulse Shotgun, does massive melee damage, and prefers tight and twisted maps like Glacier or Reactor.

The tactical cloak used by all infiltrators allows you to walk around the battlefield without enemies noticing you and the massive damage bonus you get when firing stealth shots means most of your shotgun blasts will obliterate your foes.

You can also use the melee attacks to eliminate stragglers and the resulting gameplay, while less safe than sniping from cover, is quite impressive.

I also uncovered a great class build that relates to Krogan characters, in the form of the Soldier and Sentinel. Thanks to their increased health and shield, you can spec them not just for wielding shotguns, but also sniper rifles like the Widow, so that they can help others when they’re swarmed by enemies.

As such, you can snipe enemies from afar and, when they close the distance, you can get your shotgun ready or just rely on your devastating melee attacks to eliminate them.

These are just some of my experiments. Have you come up with some unique builds for your multiplayer characters? Feel free to share them below through a comment.
