Capcom has announced that both Ultimate Marvel vs Capcom 3 and Marvel vs Capcom 2 will be leaving online stores by the end of the year.

The official Capcom Unity blog states that the games will be leaving the PlayStation Network and Xbox Live Arcade starting December 17, marking the last opportunity to get downloadable content for both games.

The announcement further details that on the PSN there is a sale going on, providing a 50 percent discount for the games' DLC, with no details yet as to a similar offer on XBLA.

The last days when DLC are available for download are listed as December 17 for North America and December 19 for Europe, on the PlayStation Network.

Xbox gamers still have a little more time on their hands, the listed date being December 26 for Xbox Live Arcade, globally.

The precise dates for the full removal of Ultimate Marvel vs Capcom 3 and Marvel vs Capcom 2 have not yet been published, but the announcement made clear the fact that they are going away.
