The upcoming Mario Kart 8 from Nintendo might include a track editor on launch, allowing all gamers to design their own racing tracks and then share them with the entire community.

According to NeoGAF, a product description from the game on a retailer site states that, “It features new elements such as customizing bikes and designing your own tracks.”

Nintendo has offered no official information on a potential track editor for Mario Kart 8 and it has not delivered any comment on the description.

When the game was announced, Satoru Iwata, the president of the company, said that the title was designed to be one of the first on the Wii U that would unlock all the potential of the GamePad controller.

Track creation and editing might be the perfect use for the second screen.

Mario Kart 8 will be launched on May 30 all over the world and is expected to significantly boost sales numbers for the Wii U.
