Nintendo has just released an update for its Mario Kart 7 racing game on the 3DS platform, eliminating some major exploits in three tracks that allowed players to circumvent large areas of the circuits and gain an advantage over competitors.

Mario Kart 7 was launched last year and became a best-seller on the Nintendo 3DS, offering a top-notch racing experience.

Sadly, it wasn’t perfect and players began uncovering exploits which allowed them to take shortcuts on certain tracks.

Nintendo has finally released an update for the racing game through which it eliminates the problems on three tracks: Wuhu Island Loop, Wuhu Mountain Loop, and GBA Bowser Castle 1.

The update is mandatory if players want to keep on playing online, but it isn’t required if you just want to experience single-player races or local multiplayer ones.

In order to get the update you need to have already installed the latest 3DS software update.
