Developer Milestone still has to release MXGP on Sony's PlayStation 4 computer entertainment system, and a new video from Gamescom 2014 shows what the game looks like on the console.

MXGP: The Official Motocross Videogame was released in March this year for PC, PlayStation 3, PlayStation Vita and Xbox 360, and Milestone then announced that the game would also be coming to the PS4, making its debut on next-gen platforms, at a later date.

The game was universally praised for its commitment to detail and authenticity, and the much more powerful hardware of the next-gen PS4 will deliver a much more immersive and realistic experience, as the off-screen gameplay footage video shows.

Milestone's Daniele Caso offers some interesting commentary regarding the upcoming PlayStation 4 version of MXGP, revealing the numerous improvements and features that will be available on Sony's console.

The dev reveals that pretty much every game system has been tweaked and improved, from the visual fidelity to improved physics and a revamped AI, following feedback from the community.

MXGP offers the ultimate motocross experience, with all the tracks and riders from the official calendar, and all the races and the feel of the sport faithfully replicated in-game.

Milestone is currently looking to release the PlayStation 4 of MXGP on October 17, but the date has not yet been set in stone, so stay tuned for more coverage.
