Hideo Kojima, the leading developer working on the Metal Gear Solid V series, says that he wants to make the upcoming Ground Zeroes the first in a new wave of games that use real time lighting and improved engines to create a photorealistic experience.

Duashockers quotes an interview with Famitsu in which the game creator explains that the new Fox Engine, created from scratch by his team, and the power of next-gen consoles can be used to significantly enhance the experiences delivered by the series.

Kojima also says that he wants to convey the sensation of looking through the lenses of a camera.

Despite its significant advances some fans have complained about the estimated length of Ground Zeroes, which can apparently be completed in about five hours.

The new Metal Gear Solid will be offered on March 18 in the US and two days later in Europe and paves the way for The Phantom Pain, which will arrive later this year.
