Tomasz Gop, the leader of the development team working on Lords of the Fallen, says that there are some similarities in terms of philosophy between his title and Dark Souls, the experience created by From Software.

He tells VG247 that, “This is a game about you crossing the gap, and the difference and distance between being a random noob at the beginning, and skilled pro player at the end.”

Gamers will need to pay attention to their own actions and craft their skills, something that Dark Souls also emphasized.

Apparently, those who are already good when it comes to action and combat titles will have an easier time progressing through Lords of the Fallen.

The team has no plans to make grinding a core experience and at the moment launch is set to take place sometime in 2014.
