14 DAY TRIAL // The development team at Turbine is offering some more detail on the upcoming update 11 for The Lord of the Rings Online, which is set to be launched soon for the MMO.
Players will be able to explore Wildermore, a region in the east of Rohan that’s besieged by powerful enemies and affected by winter.
The team says, “A Stone Giant named Núrzum, under the control of Saruman, is rumored as the source of this icy tragedy. Throughout Wildermore, villages have suffered ravage and townsfolk have become refugees.”
Players will have to explore five new regions, called The Fallows, Writhendowns, Whitshaws, High Knolls and Balewood, each with distinct enemies to fight and interesting environments to explore.
Update 11 for The Lord of the Rings Online also changes mounted combat, delivers new benefits to paying players and gives a Silver Hobbit Present for players each day they log into the MMO.
