Gary Carr, the creative director of developer Lionhead, says that his studio will retain its own identity inside Microsoft in the coming years and will continue to create interesting tittles that will surprise fans.

The executive tells The Official Xbox Magazine that John Needham, the ex-CEO of Cryptic, is the right person to lead Lionhead in the coming years, despite the fact that he was selected by Microsoft.

Carr says, "They wanted to find somebody who fitted the culture of Lionhead. Because when they did culture tests on Lionhead, and we’re at the opposite end of the scale to where Microsoft normally are."

At the moment, Lionhead is working on a title called Fable Legends, which is set to take place before the events of the series.

Gamers will be able to take on the role of either hero or villain in the game and cooperate with others to achieve their objective.

Legends will be out in 2014 on the Xbox One.
