Video game publisher Square Enix announces that Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII will get a downloadable content pack on launch which will allow Western gamers to use the original Japanese voice work.

The DLC will be free for the first two weeks after the launch of the Japanese role playing game and those who pick it up after that will have to pay a yet undisclosed fee, says Eurogamer.

Square Enix says the package also includes a different version of the lip-synching in the game in order to make sure that the characters look as natural as possible during the cutscenes.

Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII is at the moment only offered on the Japanese market on the Xbox 360 and the PlayStation 3.

Gamers in the United States will get access to it on February 11 of next year and the title will arrive in Europe three days after that.
