The development team working on Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII is delivering a new trailer for the upcoming Japanese role-playing game, which offers more information on the core story and the world players will explore.

The footage includes one lengthy monologue and shows fans some of the locations they will able to visit.

Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII is the final chapter in the story that started in 2009 and will allow gamers to experience the final thirteen days of the world existence.

The title will use a more action-oriented set of battle mechanics than its predecessor and will give players more options during combat.

Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII will be launched this year in Japan, while gamers in North America and in Europe will have to wait until the middle of February 2014 to get access to the experience.
