Gamers will be able to watch the competition via streaming

Video game developer Riot Games announces that the third season of the World Championship for the MOBA League of Legends will take place at the Staples Center in Los Angeles, California on October 4 of this year.

More than 10,000 fans will be able to attend the event and see the best teams battle in order to get the Summoner’s Cup and the 1 million dollars (755,000 Euro) grand prize.

Starting on September 16 semi-finals will take place at the Galen Center.

The 14 best teams from North America, Korea, China, Southeast Asia, Europe and a wildcard will be invited to take part in the playoffs for the third season of the League of Legends World Championship.

Riot Games estimates that more than one million MOBA players will watch the finals via live streaming.
