Video game developer Riot Games has announced that it was ready to launch the second season of its eSports competition, with 5 million dollars (3.71 million Euro) offered in prize money for the best League of Legends player in the world.

Season Two of the competition will introduce a number of new features, including a spectator mode which will be a good way for normal players to take a look at the best play and maybe pick up a few tricks for their own matches.

Riot Games says that the 5 million dollars prize pool is the biggest seen in the history of eSports competitions organized in the West, although South Korean Starcraft competitions tend to offer more reward to the victors.

League of Legends attracts about 4 million players ever day and the game allows players to choose from about 85 different champions, with some offered for free and others requiring players to pay in order to use them.
