14 DAY TRIAL // The development team at Riot Games announces that it is adding a new feature called Team Builder for League of Legends, which is designed to allow players to queue using their preferred strategies and champions.
The idea is designed to make sure that high-level and specialized players are matched up with others who have similar skills and strategies to create viable teams.
The Team Builder will first be offered on the beta servers of the Multiplayer Online Battle Arena title in order to give fans a chance to deliver feedback and the Riot Games team the time they need to tweak it.
Jeffrey Lin, a lead system designer, states on the forums, “An ideal champ select is one where all five players get their preferred role and feel like they’re all on the same page for the upcoming match. The current matchmaking does a good job of matching up players of similar overall skill levels, but doesn’t have any way to know what a player’s intentions for a given game are.”
