14 DAY TRIAL // The development team at Traveller’s Tales and publisher Warner Bros. Interactive are delivering a new cover art image for the upcoming LEGO The Hobbit, which is set to be launched during the second quarter of the year.
The title can be played on the PlayStation 4, the Xbox One, the PS3, the Xbox 360, the Wii U from Nintendo, the PlayStation Vita, the 3DS and the PC.
Smaug is heavily featured on the cover of the game, which is based on the events of the movie trilogy from Peter Jackson rather than on the actual book written by J.R.R. Tolkien.
The title will continue the tradition of the LEGO franchise, taking one well-known intellectual property and then adding a variety of situations where the world can be destroyed and reconstructed.
LEGO The Hobbit will be launched before the third movie in the trilogy is out.
