The development team at TT Games and publisher Warner Bros. announce that they are working on a new title called LEGO Friends, which is set to be launched on the Nintendo-made 3DS and DS handhelds during autumn.

Developer say that the game will be an extension of the real-world LEGO kits with the same name, designed specifically to appeal to girls and emphasizing social interactions.

Gamers will move to Heartlake City and will meet a cast of characters that are interested in developing deep bonds and in joining activities ranging from taking pictures to theater performances.

LEGO Friends will also include pets that gamers can collect and train to get access to unique abilities.

Tom Stone, the managing director at TT Games, says, “LEGO Friends allows players to build personal fun adventure while expressing their individual style and personality along the way.”
