Kodoku is an upcoming horror and exploration game for the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita platforms.

Developer Carnivore Studio plans to self-publish the eerie and mysterious title, and have started slowly unveiling concept art and screenshots, and have now even released a teaser trailer.

The trailer is of course devoid of palpable information, and instead attempts to establish some kind of weird vibe, taking a page from the horror manual and showing that not having a clue and being disoriented is much scarier than knowing what's going on.

Players have to rely on stealth and sorcery in order to navigate the abandoned island of Kodoku, where the protagonist is hoping to find a rare book. The island is home to some supernatural beings and paranormal activities, inspired from Japanese folklore.

The ultimate goal is to uncover the many mysteries surrounding the island, and ultimately escape alive and still sane.
