Video game publisher Paradox Interactive and developer Behold Studios announce that they are working together on a new PC-based video game called Knights of Pen & Paper +1 Edition, which is set to launch during the second quarter of 2013.

The game allows players to control characters that are sitting at a table and playing a pen-and-paper game with a dungeon master.

Real-world players will be able to enjoy virtual adventures, but they can also invest to improve their snacks, their sourcebooks and their table, creating a meta-experience that focuses on interaction and fun.

Shams Jorjani, vice president of business development and self-described corporate paladin at Paradox, states, “When we first saw Knights of Pen & Paper, the game scored a natural 20 on its Charm Person roll. We knew it was the kind of title that was right up our alley, and we’re glad to be able to keep supporting the Brazilian developer community with new partners like Behold Studios.”
