Video game developer Rare and publisher Microsoft announce that they are launching a big Kinect Sports Rivals championship on the Xbox One, which is designed to give one lucky winner access to a 10,000 dollars (7,600 Euro) prize and the choice of a trip to Bora Bora, the Great Wall of China, Machu Picchu, or the Swiss Alps.

The following 10 places will also get cash prizes from the two companies.

Microsoft says that its new Kinect Sports Rivals competition is the first one that is built around motion tracking and allows gamers to show off their Kinect skills.

The championship will be launched on April 8 on the Xbox One in the United States, Canada, Mexico, Australia and Brazil, and on April 11 in the United Kingdom, France and Germany.

All those who qualify for the finals will be taken to San Diego in July of this year to battle during Comic Con, with all the matches shown live via streaming for fans.

Kinect Sports Rivals will be launched on the same dates and it is meant to be the first Xbox One experience that is specifically designed to use the new version of the Kinect motion tracking system, with six core activities included.
