Gamers can take place in community challenges and play in Warzones

The development team at Guerrilla Games and publisher Sony announce that they plan to offer the multiplayer element of Killzone: Shadow Fall for free for one week starting on March 3 at 5 PM Pacific Standard Time.

The event is designed to celebrate the launch of free maps for the entire community and all features of the shooter, including Clans, Weekend Challenges, Warzones and Personalization options will be available for interested players.

PlayStation Plus will not be required to access the multiplayer side of the title.

The official announcement explains that Guerrilla Games is preparing, "special Warzones for you to play the just the new maps, and compete on global leaderboards for Capture and Team Deathmatch game modes."

Killzone players who take part will be able to get prizes from the Clan Community Challenge while also enjoying access to entirely new Warzones created specifically for them.

European gamers are able to start downloading the shooter right now in order to start playing right away on March 3.

Guerrilla Games has designed Killzone: Shadow Fall as one of the titles that can showcase the computing power of the new PlayStation 4 from Sony and Guerrilla Games has promised long term support for the title.
