Killzone: Shadow Fall is set to receive jetpacks in the near future, with developer Guerrilla Games posting an impressive Vine video on its website showing the great gadget in action.
Killzone: Shadow Fall was released as a launch-day game for the PlayStation 4 home console, and developer Guerrilla Games impressed millions of new console owners with the high-quality first-person shooter experience.
Even if it had great visuals and fun multiplayer experiences, fans were still a bit upset that one of the most interesting mechanics in the franchise, jetpacks, wasn't present in this next-gen debut for the series.
Now, however, it seems that Guerrilla Games has heard their pleas and has revealed that Killzone: Shadow Fall will receive the jetpack mechanic soon enough.
The studio has confirmed this with a Vine video, showing off the equipping and takeoff of a jetpack.
The big announcement will be made this Friday, May 16, so expect to hear all the details about the return of jetpacks to Killzone: Shadow Fall tomorrow.
Until then, players can enjoy a free downloadable map for the game's multiplayer mode, called The Canyon, which introduces a new environment and a fresh mechanic, in the form of gravity wells, which reverse the gravity in that immediate area.
