Steven ter Heide, the game director working on Killzone: Shadow Fall, says that the single-player campaign of the PlayStation 4 exclusive title will take a little more than 10 hours to play for most gamers.

The narrative of the new shooter is designed to show off a Cold War situation between the Helghast and the Vektans, which a special team of operative needs to keep in check.

When combat breaks out, gamers will be able to use new items and weapons to take out smarter enemies, says Gematsu.

The single player of Killzone: Shadow Fall is complemented by a re-designed multiplayer which includes three classes and 22 weapons, with a number of items and accessories available for unlock via gameplay.

Online cooperative play and a horde mode will be added to the shooter via a patch after it is launched.

Killzone: Shadow Fall is a PS4 launch title.
