Developer Guerrilla Games and publisher Sony are taking the unusual step of launching a new gameplay trailer for Killzone: Shadow Fall that cannot be viewed online and which is only offered as a download for fans of the series.

The two companies are trying to show off the quality and the framerate of footage taken from the game and that means that all streaming services would be unable to replicate the quality of the captured footage.

The team states on the official PlayStation Blog that, "we’ve captured and lightly compressed new footage that we’re not offering through a video sharing service. Instead, we ask that you download and locally view the high-resolution, uncompressed footage directly from from us."

The new Killzone: Shadow Fall video can be obtained from the official site of the game.

The shooter will be offered as a launch title for the PlayStation 4, on November 15 in the US and two weeks later in the EU.
