Nintendo has confirmed that the upcoming Kid Icarus 3D Classics edition, made specifically for the 3DS, will receive not just the three-dimensional visuals, but also improved sprites and levels, as you can see in the video above.

Ever since releasing the Nintendo 3DS at the beginning of the year, Nintendo has tried to take advantage of its huge back catalog of games, and released quite a lot of remastered iconic games, in the form of the 3D Classics.

Now, Kid Icarus is set to join the existing classics on the 3DS, with Nintendo releasing a video that shows off its retro gameplay but also its improved graphics.

Besides 3D visuals that should really pop out through the 3DS’ autostereoscopic screen, the game also boasts enhanced sprites and textures, as well as refined levels, like you can see above.

Sadly, Kid Icarus’ 3D Classics edition still doesn’t have a concrete release date.
