Says that decision was easy because of past collaboration

Irrational Games might have been the outfit to begin work on BioShock Infinite but it seems that in order to finish the game they will get help from 2K Australia, the team that also provided some work on the second game on the series.

Ken Levine, who is the leader of development at Irrational Games, told Joystiq that, “We had a number of open positions on BioShock Infinite.”

He added, “When we found out our former sister studio 2K Australia was becoming available, we thought they would perfectly fill those roles. If every decision was this easy…”

BioShock Infinite will be launched on the PC, the Xbox 360 and the PlayStation 3 during 2012.

It’s not clear what aspect of the game 2K Australia will work on mainly and some gamers suspect that they will be in charge of multiplayer development.

Irrational Games has acquired a reputation for solid gameplay and impressive narratives but they have never been interested in pitting player against player.
