The orchestral score that developer thatgamecompany has created for their video game Journey is nominated for a Grammy Award by the National Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences of the United States.

The score for Journey is nominated alongside The Adventures Of Tintin – The Secret Of The Unicorn, The Artist, The Dark Knight Rises, The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo and Hugo in the Best Score Soundtrack For Visual Media category.

It was created by Austin Wintory and has previously also managed to get to the top of the iTunes chart.

The composer says on Twitter that: “Well I don’t really have words right now.”

Journey has been launched via the PlayStation Network from Sony earlier during the year and has quickly managed to become the bestselling game launched on the service.
