Jesper Kyd, the Danish composer who has a BAFTA award to his name, and Vigil Games have announced that they have collaborated to create the score for the upcoming Darksiders II, designed to mix dark fantasy and emotion.

Jesper Kyd himself stated when the announcement was made that, “Darksiders II is an awesome game and one of the most fun and creatively satisfying projects I have scored. I had a blast working with the team at Vigil.”

Jeremy Robins, the audio director at Vigil Games, added, “It's been an absolute pleasure working with Jesper. He's an extremely talented composer and an avid gamer, who not only created an amazing soundtrack for Darksiders II, but intuitively knew how to cater each composition to achieve maximum musical impact for players.”

Kyd has experience in the video game world after working on both the Hitman and Assassin’s Creed series.

Darksiders II will be launched in late June on both PC and home consoles.
