It seems that the classic computer video game “Where in the World Is Carmen Sandiego?” is set to get a big screen version that is being produced by Jennifer Lopez, with the actress also thinking about taking on the leading role.

The script of the movie is being currently handled by Darren Lemke, who has previous experience creating the comedy Shrek Forever After and the yet-unreleased upcoming Jack the Giant Killer.

Walden Media made the rights to the license available for bidding in 2011 and the production company says that the resulting movie will be a mix between the Thomas Crown Affair and National Treasure.

“Where in the World Is Carmen Sandiego?” was first launched in 1995 and was designed as a game that would allow children to improve their knowledge of geography, although other topics were included.

The game received a re-launch in 2001 and late during last year, a version was also released on Facebook.
