The PlayStation Vita and Wii U are also losing sales

The Japanese sales chart shows that the Nintendo-made 3DS continues to be the best-selling piece of hardware on the market, while Kirby Triple Deluxe from the same company is leading software for the second week in a row.

The handheld managed to deliver 47,438 units to gamers in the tracked period that ended on January 19, according to Media Create data from NeoGAF, which is a significant decline when compared to the previous week and the same time last year.

The PlayStation Vita is in second place, also dropping sales, followed by the PlayStation 3.

After Nintendo slashed its sales forecast, the Wii U the console lost close to 3,000 sales in Japan and reached 11,443.

Kirby Triple Deluxe has moved 81,069 copies to gamers and the rest of the top ten includes: PazuDora Z: Puzzle & Dragons Z, Pokemon X / Y, Youkai Watch, The Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds, Battle For Money Sentouchuu: Densetsu no Shinobi no Survival Battle!, Final Fantasy X/X-2 HD Remaster, Monster Hunter 4, Final Fantasy X/X-2 HD Remaster: Twin Pack and Super Mario 3D World.
