The Nintendo-made 3DS handheld has stayed essentially flat on the home Japanese market, which means that it has sold 26,311 devices during the week that ended on June 22 in order to remain the best-selling piece of hardware.

According to data from Media Create posted by NeoGAF, second place once more belongs to the PlayStation Vita from Sony, with overall sales of 13,381, a small decline over the previously tracked period, while the last position on the podium is taken over by the Wii U home console, with sales of just over 10,000.

The big surprise is that the PlayStation 4, which had a great debut week, now seems to be underperforming and has managed to only deliver 7,009 devices to players, which is lower than last week’s 8,395.

The top selling video game in Japan is Pokemon Art Academy on the 3DS from Nintendo, which has delivered 31,080 units to its fans.

The rest of the top ten includes: Yo-kai Watch, Mario Kart 8, World Soccer Winning Eleven 2014: Samurai Blue Challenge, Persona Q: Shadow of the Labyrinth, htoL NiQ: Hotaru no Nikki, CV: Casting Voice, World Soccer Winning Eleven 2014: Samurai Blue Challenge on the Vita, One Piece: Unlimited World Red and FIFA 14.
