The 3DS and the PlayStation 3, two devices that have enjoyed a solid history of success on the Japanese market, have had a good week, while the Wii U and the PlayStation Vita have seen their fortunes decline yet again.

The 3DS has managed to deliver 67,022 devices to players, a bump of 16,000, for the week that ended on September 1, while the Sony home console has seen an increase from 12,689 to over 20,000.

The Vita handheld is under the 9,000 mark, while the Wii U has seen a drop of a little over 300 units, according to NeoGAF.

JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: All-Star Battle on the PS3 takes the first place in the video game chart for the week with sales of 425,718, while second place was captured by Final Fantasy XIV Online: A Real Reborn, despite its troubled launch.

The rest of the top ten is made up of: Ragnarok Odyssey Ace, Lost Planet 3, Disney Magic Castle: My Happy Life, Mario & Luigi: Dream Team, Friend Collection: New Life, Saki: Achiga-Hen Episode of Side-A Portable, Youkai Watch and Animal Crossing: New Leaf.
