Developer Cliffhanger Productions announces that it is working on a new Jagged Alliance title, which is set to be launched via Steam and will focus on Player versus Player battles, with the entire experience available for free.

The game will allow players to form their team, outfit them for the mission and then battle other players, optionally using alliances to boost their capabilities.

Gamers will not have to pay for any of the 40 mercenaries that they can employ or any of the 500 items that they can use.

Those who lack the time to unlock content via gameplay can resort to the official store of Jagged Alliance Online, which will also introduce a 100-hour-long single-player campaign.

Jan Wagner, the founder and creative director at Cliffhanger Productions, states, “The PvP part is also what makes us stand out from all the Jagged Alliance games, I believe, since no matter how good an AI is, in the end, the true challenge is another player. I am glad we could finally do the game the way we wanted.”

Jagged Alliance Online will be out before the end of spring.
