Insomniac Games is currently filming a live-action film for the upcoming Xbox One exclusive third-person shooter Sunset Overdrive.

The news comes from a blog post from Marcus Smith, Sunset Overdrive's creative director, informing that the team is working hard to create an explosive trailer inspired by the over-the-top action inside the game.

The blog post is titled "Cool Guys Don't Look at Explosions," which is pretty basic knowledge that everyone gets alongside "don't eat yellow snow" and "don't send Nigerian princes your bank account information" nowadays.

The colorful and zany outlook of Sunset City has been recreated by the film crew on set, and the developer has shared a few photographs from the location, teasing fans of the shooter.

The images show some interesting-looking props, including a heap of teddy bears that will most likely explode somehow, judging from the developer's previous offerings.

Sunset Overdrive takes places in the near future, after humans binging on a new energy drink mutate and take over a colorful city.

All the action takes place on the move, in a severe paradigm shift since the age of cover-based third-person shooters, and gameplay involves a lot of crazy stunts, grinding rails and making huge leaps.

The game is scheduled to drop on October 28 in North America and October 31 in Europe, headed exclusively for Microsoft's Xbox One.

We'll keep an eye out for when the trailer drops and come back with the news.
