The Xbox One and the PlayStation 4 are not the future of gaming

The team working on the newly announced Infinity Blade III at Chair says that the title, despite the fact that it is launching on mobile devices, is a true next-gen gaming experience.

Donald Mustard is the creative director working on Infinity Blade III and he tells Gamespot that he sees that game as the direction that the entire industry should be heading to.

He says, “It's like, forget the next consoles, this is the future of gaming. This kind of combination of really, really refined deep gameplay with beautiful graphics on a device that's with me all the time.”

Mobile gaming has certainly evolved a lot in the last few years, but the quality of the graphics and the controls is still below that offered by current-gen consoles and certainly lower than what the Xbox One and the PlayStation 4 will deliver in November.

Mustard believes that load times and character fidelity make Infinity Blade III a more interesting game than Skyrim.
