14 DAY TRIAL // Developer NetherRealm has decided to give Blanche, the old lady on the Outworld Marketplace stage in Mortal Kombat X, a chance to get some revenge on all the times she has been thrown around during battles.
Her first fifteen minutes of fame were during Mortal Kombat X's launch week, when everyone discovered an easy achievement that involved grabbing the little old lady sitting innocuously in the background and throwing her at an opponent, killing her in the process.
The achievement "Blanche Advantage" would then unlock, revealing her name. Now, it looks like she's back with a vengeance, intent on standing up for all the casualties of level interactions in Mortal Kombat X.
In the fighting video game's latest patch, Blanche got her own brutality. In order to activate it, you have to use two of the interactive stage hazards during a match, and finish the game by throwing Blanche at your opponent.
Now, one could say that there's no reason to feel sorry for the old lady's mistreatment, as she always seem to stand a little too close to the action for her own good, but others would just consider it victim blaming. In any case, her geriatric brutality is definitely a nice Easter Egg from the developers.
