The upcoming Nintendo Wii U exclusive hack and slash title from Omega Force and Team Ninja, Hyrule Warriors, just got a brand new character trailer, this time around focusing on displaying Midna's arsenal of deadly moves.

The Legend of Zelda-themed spin-off of Tecmo Koei's Dynasty Warriors series will use the GamePad for its cooperative two-player mode, with one player using the tablet controller to visualize the action, while the other will lavishly enjoy the fast-paced army-bashing the old-fashioned way, on the television.

The game will feature a sizable cast of characters from the Zelda series, while borrowing the insane crowd-dispensing action of the Dynasty Warriors games.

The trailer shows Midna's ability to transform her hair into a glowing hand that can deliver decimating attacks to her opponents, and she can also summon Wolf Link and ride on his back, being able to perform certain special attacks, such as spawning a vicious wolf pack.

This is the first time in the series' history when Midna, one of Link's allies from The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess, is showing up as a playable character.

Hyrule Warriors has been confirmed to land on August 14 in Japan, followed by a September 19 launch in Europe and a September 26 one in North America, exclusively for the Nintendo Wii U gaming console.
