The American branch of Nippon Ichi Software has announced that the popular idol simulator Hyperdimension Neptunia: Producing Perfection is on its way to the PlayStation Vita handheld system in both North America and Europe.

In the game, players will take on the role of the main character, who has been summoned to Gamindustri and is hired by one of the four CPUs, Neptune, Noire, Blanc and Vert, to manage their idol career and occupy the position of producer.

With the fate of Gamindustri hanging in the balance after the arrival of a new producer in town, players will be challenged to raise the four CPUs into idols, lest their citizens be stolen away by their rivals, the popular idol group MOB-48.

Players will have to teach the girls to sing and dance, and then promote them to the general populace, by employing their character's experience with video game idol training, back on Earth. As the four CPUs' popularity soars, they will be able to join one another in singing duets and eventually come together for a full ensemble.

Hyperdimension Neptunia: Producing Perfection will be available in both retail form as well as on the PlayStation Network, and will be released exclusively for Sony's PlayStation Vita handheld console, on June 3 in North America and on June 6 in Europe.
