Video game developer Crytek announces that it is working on a new cooperative shooter called Hunt: Horrors of the Gilded Age, which is supposed to be launched on the PC later in the year and might then probably also be delivered on home consoles.

The studio will use a third-person perspective for the new project and four gamers will have to choose their classes and their loadouts before facing ever more powerful waves of enemies that are designed based on the horrors shown in the literature of the XX century.

David Adams, the chief executive officer of Crytek USA, states, “In Hunt: Horrors of the Gilded Age, players will be counting their bullets and crying out for help as they delve deeper into the shadowy world we’ve created.”

The team is promising that it will deliver a challenging title that manages to draw players in with captivating gameplay and rich lore.

Crytek is also working on a competitive future title called Arena of Fate and on the recently revealed Homefront: The Revolution.
